Terms and Conditions |
1. The fee is payable by cash 2. Cancellation of lessons. Please give a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel a pre-arranged driving lesson. If less than 48 hours notice is given, the full lesson price will be due (or taken from your block booking if paid in advance). After the second short notice cancellation lessons will be payable in advance. 3. Please note that if you decide to pay for a block booking or several lessons in advance this will be non refundable should you not go ahead with the lessons. However, if you do decide you want the lessons at a later date, they will be held for you for 6 months. 4. Your instructor from Done Walking Driving School will inform you when they think you are ready to book your practical test. The driving school reserves the right to withhold the use of the driving school car if, in your instructors professional opinion, your driving has not reached the standard required to pass the driving test. If you do not reach the standard required and you have a test booked we will give you plenty of notice to change your test date without losing your fee. 5. You must have a valid, signed driving licence (card and counterpart) and have it with you for your theory and practical test appointments. You must also bring his with you to your first lesson with Done Walking. You MUST be able to read a vehicle number plate, in good daylight, from a distance of 20 metres (or 20.5 metres where the old style number plate is used). If you need to wear glasses (or contact lenses) to do this, you MUST wear them at all times while driving. 6. Our instructors are up to date with criminal record checks and agree to teach in line with the Driving Standard Agencies code of practice. We will provide a clean, road-worthy car for your lessons and test weather permitting. 7. Your lessons will be door-to-door or from an agreed pick up point and last for a minimum of one hour. Each lesson will begin at the pre-booked time, even if the pupil has not entered the car yet. Where the instructor may arrive slightly late for a lesson due to circumstances beyond their control e.g. traffic or vehicle problems, the instructor will do their best to extend the finish time of the lesson by the same amount of time. If this is not possible due your commitments or ours we will add the time onto another lesson. 8. You will agree to be fit to drive when we pick you up from the arranged place and time. Your instructor will cancel the lesson at short notice if they believe that you are unfit to drive due to the effects of alcohol, drugs, excessive tiredness or any other reason that could cause dangerous driving on your lesson. Under these circumstances the lesson fee would still be payable. |
